Virginia Union University owns three houses just around the corner from VUU’s campus. These houses are located at: 2412, 2414, and 2416 Brook Road. The houses are reserved for upperclassmen who exemplify leadership on campus. All students who wish to reside in one of the Humanity Houses must fill out an additional housing application and go through an interview process.
HOPE (Helping Our Panthers Excel) Humanity House

HOPE houses upperclassmen who have an interest in service to the Panther community. Students will be expected to take leadership in coordinating service projects throughout the academic year that will expose students to the importance of philanthropy, servant leadership and exemplary citizenship. Community service projects will address issues that impact wellness such as obesity, HIV/Aids, homelessness, illiteracy, alcohol & substance abuse, etc. Residents of HOPE are servant leaders who desire to use their creative energy to implement life changing opportunities for Panthers to positively impact their community.
LEAD (Leading. Excelling. Achieving. Developing.) Humanity House

LEAD houses upperclassmen who demonstrate an interest in leadership at VUU through involvement and participation in VUU registered student organizations.
MALE (Making A Lifelong Effort) Humanity House
2416 Brook Road
In support of the newly launched MALE initiative, the men who reside in this house will coordinate a year-long program to promote male holistic development. Residents will be prominent and positive male role models for the University and for the greater community. Students residing in this house will take leadership in planning, implementing and promoting the MALE seminar series.
