Returning Student Housing 

Early Arrivals

The Office of Residence Life and Housing does not accommodate early arrivals. There are several hotels within short distances of the university to make further accommodations.


Applying for Housing

Returning students must complete the housing contractual agreement and housing application online.  Paper applications are not available for returning students.For information on the housing application and assignment process, please click here.

Returning students have the opportunity to live on campus in the following residence halls:

Huntley Hall
MacVicar Hall (second and third floors)
White Hall
Humanity Houses


Special Housing Information

The Virginia Union University Living and Learning Center is the latest addition to the university’s growing history, and represents the newest residence hall offering on campus.  The hall will open in August 2014.

Students interested in staying in the new living and learning center must possess at least a cumulative GPA of 2.0, be of sophomore standing (or higher classification,) be in good financial standing with the university, and have no residence hall or integrity infractions/violations.

Students wishing to reside in the new residence hall should indicate that on their online housing application.

Keeping Your Valuables Safe

We students to consider personal property insurance or renter’s insurance if your valuables are not covered under another insurance policy. VUU does not carry insurance, which will cover losses you might incur.
