Why VUU: Growing up, I always knew that my new found home would be in the field of education. I strive to help young adults meet their goals both academically and recreationally. I have found that as a Counselor, I am not only responsible for the development and growth of this University, but it is my duty to act as a Mentor to many of the students that I have met on the road and on campus as well. Virginia Union is a setting that I could call a home away from home, as a result of our small population, it is one of the few institutions that offers a sense of nurturing to the students it encompasses.

Advice to Students: As a recent graduate, I have found that it is important for students to research a variety of institutions and the programs and organizations they have to offer. When you leave away from home, you want to be able to enter a place that you are comfortable with, both academically and socially. Think about what YOU want in your institution of higher learning!
