Virginia Union University Announces Commencement Speaker

Actor/Director/Producer Delroy Lindo will deliver the 2013 Commencement address at Virginia Union University. The ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11 on Hovey Field. Approximately 328 graduates are expected to receive degrees. This includes 175 students from the undergraduate program and 153 students from the graduate school of theology. More »

Virginia Union Board Chairman Elected to National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame

(Richmond, VA) - Dr. W. Franklyn Richardson, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Virginia Union University, has been selected for induction into the 2013 Class of the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame. The 28th Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held September 27, 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia. This is the 28th annual induction ceremony held by the organization, which provides scholarships for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and highlights accomplishments of alumni of HBCUs. More »

Virginia Union Center for the Study of the Urban Child Presents Noted Scholar of Urban Inequality
