What's the difference between Admissions Open House and New Student Orientation?
Admissions Open House is general information sessions about the University for prospective students, while Panther Preview and the New Student Welcome Week provide in-depth learning experiences and fun activities for admitted students.
Should parents/guests attend Panther Preview?
We believe that family and guests play an important role in college success and we invite adult Family members and guests to attend both Panther Preview and Spring Preview, but it is not a requirement. Panther Preview and Spring Preview have two tracks, one for admitted students and the other for family and guest. There tracks rim concurrently, which allows both the student and their families to get the information most appropriate to their needs. You can expect informational sessions, meetings with administrators and faculty, and an introduction to University. Since these programs are designed for admitted students and their families it is suggested that infants and younger children not attend, as day care services are not provided.
